Springtime load limitations effective Mar. 18

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is announcing that seasonal weight restrictions (six tons gross load for single axle and 10 tons for tandem axle) are being posted for the following highways effective Wednesday, Mar. 18, 2009:

  • WIS 65 - Polk and St. Croix counties: From the junction with County "H" in Star Prairie north to US 8. Trucks hauling milk, heating fuel and septic materials are exempt from seasonal load limits on this segment.
  • WIS 169 - Ashland and Iron counties: From Wisconsin Central Limited railroad tracks east of WIS 13 and north to US 2. Trucks hauling milk, heating fuel and septic materials are exempt from seasonal load limits on this segment of WIS 169 in Ashland County.
