Public information meeting Mar. 24 for US 12 Bypass construction in the Village of West Baraboo

Traffic staging and the proposed construction schedule for the US 12 Bypass project in Sauk County from I-90/94 south to Terrytown Road will be discussed at a public information meeting on Tuesday, Mar. 24, 2009, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region.
The meeting will start at 5 p.m. at the Sauk County West Square Building, 505 Broadway Street, rooms B-24 & B-30 (basement), Baraboo.
WisDOT is proposing to construct the US 12 Bypass freeway beginning just north of Fern Dell Road and continuing southerly to Terrytown Road. The proposed bypass will be constructed approximately one quarter to one half mile west of existing US 12 and will include interchanges near Fern Dell Road, at North Reedsburg Road, and at WIS 33. Construction of the north section is currently scheduled to run thru 2011.
The Mar. 24 meeting will be conducted in an open house format with a variety of exhibits and maps available for review. A formal presentation will take place at 5:15 p.m. Representatives from WisDOT and Mashuda Contractors will be on hand to answer questions throughout the evening.
