March 31, 2009

Highway will be detoured mid-June - local access to remain open at all times

The resurfacing of US 14 in western Dane County is scheduled to begin Apr. 15. The project will extend eight miles from the west village limits of Cross Plains through Black Earth to the east village limits of Mazomanie. The project is expected to be completed the end of August 2009.

US 14 will remain open to through-traffic until mid-June. Starting Jun. 15, through-traffic will be detoured using WIS 78, WIS 19 and WIS 12.

Local traffic will have access to residences and businesses in the work zone at all times during the project.

The $5.7 million project includes the reconstruction of the WIS 78 intersection.
