Public meeting May 7 for US 12 in Monroe County

April 23, 2009

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region will hold a public information meeting to discuss preliminary design for the pavement replacement and safety improvements of US 12 from County O to the Jackson County Line, Monroe County. The meeting is scheduled for 6 - 8 p.m., May 7, at the Warrens’ Fire Station meeting room, 506 Hartwell Drive, Warrens.

The proposed project consists of replacing the existing pavement, upgrading intersections, and spot safety improvements. In addition, approximately one half mile of US 12 will be reconstructed on a new alignment. This section of US 12 begins approximately 0.2 miles east of the intersection of Coleman Avenue and continues westerly approximately one half mile.

The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
