Seasonal weight restrictions removed in northwest Wisconsin

Pursuant to Section 349.16 of the Wisconsin Statutes, seasonal weight restrictions  (six-tons gross load for single axle and ten tons for tandem axle) will be lifted for the following highways:

• WIS 65 - Polk and St. Croix counties, from the junction with County H in Star Prairie, north to US 8. This will go into effect on May 4, 2009.
• WIS 169 - Ashland and Iron counties, from the Wisconsin Central Limited railroad tracks east of WIS 13 north to US 2, which is for the entire length in Ashland and Iron counties. This will go into effect May 11, 2009.
