Public meeting May 27 for Bartillon Drive in Madison
May 14, 2009
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southwest Region in Madison is announcing a public information meeting to discuss proposed improvements to Bartillon Drive from Stoughton Road to Portage Road in Dane County. The meeting is scheduled from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the WisDOT Southwest Region Office, 2101 Wright Street, Madison.
The project consists of a local road extension to Bartillon Drive from the current terminus north of Kinsman Boulevard to Portage Road. In addition, the project will also include closure of the median at the intersection of Stoughton Road (US Highway 51) and Pierstorff Street/Leo Circle to eliminate left turns and improve safety. Construction is currently scheduled to begin in 2010.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing the proposed improvement alternatives will be on display. Representative from WisDOT and the design engineering firm DAAR Engineering, Inc. will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
If you are unable to attend the meeting, or would like more information, contact WisDOT Project Manager Jan Bennett at (606) 242-8038 or via e-mail at janice.bennett@dot.wi.gov.
