Notice of public hearing in the matter of state aid for airport improvements

Notice of public hearing in the matter of state aid for improvements at:

L.O. Simenstad Airport (Osceola, WI), East Troy Municipal Airport (East Troy, WI), and Burlington Municipal Airport (Burlington, WI)

The Department of Transportation is considering a project to undertake the following developments at L.O. Simenstad Airport, East Troy Municipal Airport, and Burlington Municipal Airport:

Conduct Obstruction Surveys for the development of LPV (Localizer Precision with Vertical Guidance) approaches;

And necessary related work.

Notice is hereby given that the Department of Transportation will hold a public hearing at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 11, 2009. The meeting will be held in room 701 of the Hill Farms State Transportation Building located at 4802 Sheboygan Avenue, Madison, WI 53705.

All interested persons are invited to attend and present their views on the need for the proposed airport development. Parking for people with disabilities and an accessible entrance are available at the State Transportation Building.

Additional written statements or testimony will be accepted if received on or before Monday, June 15, 2009. Such testimony or statement should be directed to the attention of Matt Malicki at the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Bureau of Aeronautics, 4802 Sheboygan Avenue, RM 701, P.O. Box 7914, Madison, Wisconsin 53707-7914.
