Public meeting June 10 for US 45 in Waupaca and Outagamie counties

Meeting to focus on preliminary designs for roadway reconstruction
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss preliminary design concepts for the reconstruction of US 45 from County W to County D in Waupaca and Outagamie counties.
The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at the New London Municipal Building council chambers, 215 North Shawano Street, New London, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
The proposed project includes:
- Replacing the pavement
- Flattening slopes
- Improving drainage
- Upgrading intersections
- Potentially adding passing lanes on US 45 from County W to County D.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project. Maps showing proposed improvements will be on display. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss the project on an individual basis.
