Public meeting June 11 for WIS 13 Project in Taylor County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting from 3:30 - 6:30 pm on Thursday, June 11, 2009, at the Medford City Hall, 639 South Second Street in Medford to discuss plans for a 2.4-mile reconstruction project on WIS 13 in Medford.

The project now contains three segments. Two segments will be reconstructed and one segment will consist of utility replacement with signing and marking. Roundabouts will replace traffic signals at Allman Street and Ann’s Way.

Members of the public are invited to view displays of the project design and provide input. WisDOT staff will be present at the city hall to answer questions and discuss project details. This is an open house meeting, there are no formal presentations planned. Information on detours, access to local business and real estate acquisition will be available.

All interested members of the public are invited to attend. The meeting site is handicapped accessible. Citizens who are deaf or hard-of-hearing and who require an interpreter may request one by contacting Mike Berthold at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).
