Public hearings June 23 and 24 for the Zoo Interchange Corridor Study

Community encouraged to attend and provide testimony
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold two public hearings to present alternatives from the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) prepared as part of Zoo Interchange Corridor Study. The meetings will be held on Tuesday, June 23 from 2 - 7 p.m. and Wednesday, June 24 from 4 - 8 p.m. Both meetings will be held at Wisconsin State Fair Park Tommy Thompson Youth Center, 640 South 84th Street, West Allis, WI. The same information will be presented on both days.
The hearing is an opportunity for the public to share comments on the DEIS. Court reporters will be available to record oral testimony. Written testimony can also be submitted as part of, or in addition to, testimony presented at the hearing. Additional comments can be provided in the following ways:

All comments must be received or postmarked by July 13, 2009 to be part of the official public record. The comments received will be analyzed as part of the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS).
The hearings will be conducted in an open house format. Short presentations will be given on the hour. Interested persons may stop in at their convenience to review the displays, ask questions and present testimony. Exhibits will be on display and other information about the proposed improvements will be available for review.
The meeting locations are wheelchair accessible. People who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter for the meeting may request one by contacting James Liptack at least three business days before the meeting.
