Governor Jim Doyle approves funding for WIS 32 improvements
June 18, 2009
As part of his “Grow Wisconsin” initiative to invest in Wisconsin’s infrastructure and stimulate our state’s economy, Governor Jim Doyle recently signed a $1.3 million contract to improve nine miles of WIS 32 between the Forest County Line and US 45 in Oneida County.
Construction is scheduled to begin the week of June 29, 2009.
Pitlik & Wick of Eagle River is the prime contractor for the project. Crews will resurface WIS 32 with new asphalt.
Construction is scheduled for completion by early August 2009.
During daylight hours, crews will reduce traffic on WIS 32 to one lane using flagging operations.
80 percent of the project will be paid with federal transportation funds; the remaining 20 percent will be paid with state transportation funds.
