WIS 67 project in Waukesha County scheduled to start June 29
June 24, 2009
As part of his ongoing “Grow Wisconsin” initiative to invest in Wisconsin’s infrastructure and stimulate our state’s economy, Governor Jim Doyle has approved a $1.6 million project to improve the intersection of WIS 67 and County B/Valley Road in Waukesha County.
Work is scheduled to begin the week of June 29. Crews will update the intersection and include
dual left-turn lanes, additional through lanes, longer left-turn lanes, and upgraded pedestrian
accommodations. The improvements will increase safety and provide an improved intersection that
meets current design standards.
The roadway will remain open during construction; however, lane closures will occur.
The contractor, Musson Brothers, Inc. is scheduled to complete the project by mid-November, weather permitting.
80 percent of the project will be paid with federal transportation funds; the remaining 20 percent will be paid with local funding.
