Crews repairing pavement blowups on I-94 in St. Croix County

June 24, 2009

The extreme heat this week is causing areas of pavement to buckle on I-94 near Hudson. On Tuesday, county crews made temporary repairs to the area, but further work is needed.

Beginning around 9 a.m. Wednesday, two westbound lanes of I-94 will be closed while crews make permanent repairs to the roadway. They are expected to be there most of the day. One lane will remain closed until approximately 4 a.m. Thursday. Crews will then move to the eastbound lanes around 7 p.m. Thursday and work until approximately noon on Friday.

Motorists should use caution while driving near the work zones.
