Lane closures scheduled for WIS 66 in Stevens Point starting July 13

July 13, 2009

Crews plan to close the eastbound and westbound right lanes of WIS 66 between Wilshire Boulevard and I-39 in Stevens Point beginning Monday, July 13. The closures are scheduled to occur weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The closures are necessary for crews to relocate utility poles and upgrade power lines along WIS 66 in eastern Stevens Point. Motorists may encounter delays as crews string the new wires across the highway.

The work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day on Friday, July 24.

Motorists are asked to stay alert for slow or stopped traffic, heavy equipment, and crews working on or near the roadway. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
