Work zone changes precede re-opening of WIS 172 in Brown County

Highway expected to re-open by the end of July
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Regional office at Green Bay is announcing work zone modifications on WIS 172. These are necessary to facilitate the re-opening of the roadway, tentatively scheduled for Friday, July 31. Motorists should note work will continue on the highway, but will not be as intrusive to traffic.
US 41 to Webster Avenue:
- On Monday, July 20 - The on ramp from Webster Avenue to westbound WIS 172 and the connector to Riverside Drive is being closed from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m.
- Westbound traffic will be shifted onto the new deck in the two outside lanes.
- On Tuesday, July 21 - The Pilgrim Way (Oneida Street - Ashland Avenue) ramps will be re-opened.
Webster Avenue to I-43:
- On Monday, July 20 - Two lanes in each direction will be opened to traffic.
Motorists should remain alert and use caution when driving through this or any work zone.
