Overnight closures scheduled for US 41 in Outagamie County starting July 22

Section of Capitol Drive is also closing

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) NE Region in Green Bay is announcing Capitol Drive from Patriot Drive north to East Evergreen Drive will close at 7 a.m. Wednesday, July 22 and remain closed through the middle of August.

Additionally, sections of US 41 will be closed at Capitol Drive. The northbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. Thursday, July 23 to 4 a.m. Friday, July 24. The southbound lanes will be closed from 11 p.m. Friday, July 24 to 4 a.m. Saturday, July 25.

These closures are necessary so part of the Capitol Drive bridge can be removed. The bridge is being raised as part of this project.

A signed detour route will be in effect during the lane closures:

  • For Thursday night’s northbound lane closure, the detour will be northbound US 41 to County OO to WIS 47 to US 41.
  • For Friday night’s southbound lane closure, the detour will be southbound US 41 to WIS 47 to County OO to US 41.

Motorists should use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
