Lane reductions, shifts on Business 51 scheduled this week July 30

Bike trail closed while work is under way

Motorists can expect to encounter lane shifts on Business 51 near Marathon County L (Eagles Nest Boulevard) in Rothschild beginning Thursday, July 30. The lane shifts are necessary for crews to perform maintenance on the Cedar Creek bridge on Business 51.

The work will require crews to reduce traffic on southbound Business 51 to one 14-foot lane. Southbound traffic will be shifted to the median. While crews are working, the bike trail under Business 51 will be closed.

Work will continue through the weekend and is scheduled for completion on Wednesday, August 5.

The schedule is approximate and dependent on favorable weather conditions and construction status.
