WIS 11 project scheduled to start August 3 in Walworth County

July 29, 2009

As part of his ongoing “Grow Wisconsin” initiative to invest in Wisconsin’s infrastructure and stimulate our state’s economy, Governor Jim Doyle has approved a $588,000 project to improve 3.75 miles of WIS 11 from Enterprise Drive to West Street in Walworth County.

Construction is scheduled to begin the week of August 3. Work will include resurfacing the existing roadway with new asphalt. The improvements will provide a smoother driving surface and extend the pavement life.

The roadway will remain open to traffic during construction. Flagging operations will be used.

The contractor, B.R. Amon & Sons, Inc. is scheduled to complete the project by August 24, weather permitting.

The project will be paid for with federal transportation funds.
