Traffic alert: Lane closures scheduled on I-43, KK bridges in Ozaukee County

August 12, 2009

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is announcing that due to a bridge deck overlay project on I-43 over County KK in Ozaukee County, area motorists attending the Green Bay Packers game on Saturday, Aug. 15, should expect some delays and plan accordingly.

The work requires that one of the two lanes in each direction will be closed on I-43 for one-quarter mile in each direction, although County KK will not have any lanes closures. Because of increased traffic volumes expected for the game, some congestion could be expected in the late afternoon and in the evening after 10 p.m.

Access to emergency vehicles will be maintained.

Motorists are advised to expect delays and leave early for the game if possible.
