Additional pavement repair work starts Aug. 24 in Southeast Region counties

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has announced a second phase of pavement repair work has begun in various areas of the interstate system throughout the Southeast Wisconsin region, in conjunction with the first phase of work in Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
The $6.6 million pavement repair program is designed to maintain various sections of freeway in Kenosha, Racine, Walworth, and Washington counties, as well as Milwaukee and Waukesha counties.
Work is scheduled to begin Aug. 24 and is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Motorists are asked to use caution whenever they see pavement work of any kind on the freeway system.
