WIS 66 (old US 10) lane closures start August 19 in Portage County

August 18, 2009

Crews plan to close the eastbound and westbound right lanes of WIS 66 between Wilshire Boulevard and I-39 in Stevens Point beginning Wednesday, August 19.

The lane closures are scheduled to occur weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Motorists may encounter delays as crews string the new wires across the highway.

The work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Friday, August 28. No work is scheduled to occur during the weekend.

Motorists are asked to stay alert for slow or stopped traffic, heavy equipment, and crews working on or near the roadway. To avoid potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The schedule is dependent on favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
