Bong Bridge inspection planned on US 2 in Douglas County weeks of August 24 and 31

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will be conducting routine inspections on the Bong Bridge in Superior the weeks of August 24 and August 31, 2009.

Dependent on the weather, the inspection on the bridge will take place from 9 a.m. - 3 p.m. Monday through Thursday each week. WisDOT will coordinate with the Minnesota Department of Transportation as they inspect the ramps on the Minnesota end of the bridge.

Motorists should anticipate single lane closures on the bridge throughout the duration of the inspection.
