National Motorcycle Safety Conference in Madison on Saturday August 22

Approximately 350 motorcycle safety experts from around the country will attend the 25th annual State Motorcycle Safety Administrators National Conference in Madison on Saturday, August 22, 2009.

Motorcycle safety is a growing challenge. During the last five years in Wisconsin, an average of 94 motorcyclists have been killed annually in crashes. Motorcycles continue to grow in popularity for both recreation and basic transportation.  More than 472,000 Wisconsin residents have motorcycle licenses or permits and nearly 328,000 motorcycles are registered in the state.
