WIS 23 public meeting September 2 in Green Lake County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public information meeting to discuss planned improvements to WIS 23 between Princeton and Green Lake.

The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, September 2, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. at Princeton High School, 604 Old Green Lake Road, Princeton. The meeting will follow an informal open house format. WisDOT representatives will be available to discuss concerns and answer questions.

Planned improvements to WIS 23 include:

  • Resurfacing of 2.8 miles of WIS 23 between Green Lake County T and County A/North Street in 2010. The highway will remain open to through traffic.
  • Reconstruction of 5.1 miles of WIS 23 between Old Green Lake Road to County T in 2011. Crews plan to close and detour the highway to through traffic via I-39, WIS 21, and WIS 49. Access to local businesses and residences will be maintained.

Citizens who are unable to attend the meeting or would like more information can contact the WisDOT project manager Lynn Saeger at (715) 421-8391. Written comments regarding the project can be mailed to Lynn Saeger, WisDOT, 1681 Second Avenue South, Wisconsin Rapids, WI 54495.

Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and who require an interpreter may request one by contacting Lynn Saeger at least three working days prior to the meeting via the Wisconsin Telecommunications Relay System (dial 711).
