Public Meeting September 3 for County N Interchange Reconstruction in Dane County

The planned reconstruction of County N in Dane County will be discussed at a public information meeting Thursday, September 3, the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) announced today.

The meeting will be held at the village of Cottage Grove Municipal Building, 211 E. Cottage Grove Road, from 5 to 7 p.m. The municipal building is located east of the intersection of County N and County BB in the village of Cottage Grove.

The meeting will be conducted in an open house format and project exhibits will be on display for review. There will be a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. to provide an overview of the project. Before and after the presentation, WisDOT and Ayres Associates staff will be available to answer questions. Participants will be able to provide written or verbal comments to project staff during the meeting.

WisDOT plans to install three roundabouts, construct portions of the four ramps connecting I-94 to County N, and reconstruct portions of County N and County TT. A park and ride lot is proposed in the northwest quadrant of the I- 94/County N interchange. Construction is currently scheduled for 2011.

The municipal building is wheelchair-accessible. People who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter for the meeting should contact Jim Buschkopf via the Wisconsin Telecommunication Relay System (dial 711).
