WIS 112 in Ashland County to Close for Bridge, Dam Inspection August 27

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) has announced WIS 112 - between WIS 118 and WIS 13 - south of Ashland, is closing at noon today, August 27, so crews can perform inspections to the bridge and hydro-generating dam over the White River.

Crews from WisDOT and Xcel Energy will be inspecting the facility.

Xcel is drawing down the water on the river to allow crews to inspect the footings under the structure. The dam was built in 1926.

WIS 112 will be closed to through traffic between WIS 118 and WIS 13 until further notice.
