State concludes investigation on local auto dealer

September 8, 2009

The Department of Transportation commenced an investigation as to whether or not the payment of referral fees by Rosen Nissan violated the unlicensed salesperson provisions of the Wisconsin statutes.

Without admitting any wrongdoing or agreeing to the Department of Transportation’s interpretation of the statutes and regulations, the dealership and Rosen salesperson Bajram Tiari have voluntarily participated in the investigation and have agreed not to provide consideration of any kind to a third party for sales leads, contingent upon the sale of a vehicle, consistent with Trans. Code Sect. 139.035.

In exchange for entering into the stipulation and special order, the Department of Transportation has closed out the investigation without further action.
