Public hearing scheduled for WIS 57 access controls in Calumet County

Controls will affect highway in Calumet County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public hearing to gather comments on access controls proposed for WIS 32/57 from the city of New Holstein to the village of Hilbert in Calumet County. The meeting is being held Thursday, Sept. 17 from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Calumet County Court House, Room 025, 206 Court Street, Chilton, Wisconsin.

The meeting is being held as an open-house. No presentation is planned. Rather, the public is invited to stop by during the times listed to examine maps and exhibits, talk with staff and provide comments. A court reporter will be available to record testimony.

The purpose of access control measures is to provide reasonable access to adjacent properties while preserving the safe flow of traffic.

The meeting site is wheelchair accessible. An American Sign Language interpreter will be present at the public hearing.
