WIS 34 lane/shoulder closures scheduled for Sept. 14 - 18 in Portage County

Motorists can expect to encounter flagging operations and lane closures on WIS 34 between Brown Thrush Road and Bluebird Road, south of US 10 in Portage County beginning Monday, Sept. 14.

The closures are necessary so utility crews can begin the reconstruction of the transmission line, which crosses WIS 34.

Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Sept. 18.

Motorists can expect to encounter periodic delays between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Motorists should also be alert for slow moving vehicles, heavy construction equipment and turning trucks within the work zone.

To avoid any potential delays motorists may want to use alternate routes. The work requires favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
