WIS 73, WIS 23 and WIS 54 lane closures in Green Lake and Portage counties Sept. 23 - Oct. 2

Motorists can expect to encounter flagging operations and lane closures on the following highways beginning this week:

• WIS 73 between the Marquette County line and WIS 44 in Green Lake County
• WIS 23 between the Marquette County line and Princeton in Green Lake County
• WIS 54 between I-39 and the Waupaca County line in Portage County

The lane closures are necessary so construction crews can complete roadway maintenance. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Oct. 2, 2009.

Motorists can expect to encounter periodic delays between the hours of 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. Motorists should also be alert for slow moving vehicles, heavy construction equipment and turning trucks within the work zone. To avoid any potential delays motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The work requires favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
