All DMV offices closed Monday, October 12 for employee furlough
October 5, 2009
Like many state offices, all Wisconsin Division of Motor Vehicles (DMV) offices will be closed for business on Monday, October 12 as DMV staff complete the third of eight unpaid days required for each of the next two years. Employee furloughs for all university and state employees are part of the 2009 –2011 state budget.
Titling and registration services are offered by many third-party partners, such as some police stations, grocery stores and financial institutions around the state and can be found at the DMV Web site.
DMV would like to remind customers that many services like vehicle registration renewal do not
require a visit to a service center and are available online 24/7 at the
DMV Web site. All DMV offices will
resume regular business hours on Tuesday, October 13.
