Public meeting Oct. 21 for WIS 60 and County G in Washington County

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Southeast Region in Waukesha is announcing a public information meeting to discuss the reconstruction of the intersection of WIS 60 and County G in the town of Jackson in Washington County. The meeting is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2009 at Jackson Town Hall, 3146 Division Road.

This project includes reconstructing the intersection of WIS 60 and County G to a single lane modern roundabout to address safety problems and improve traffic flow. Construction is currently scheduled for spring of 2013. WIS 60 will remain open, but County G will be detoured during construction.

The meeting will follow an informal open house format. Brief project overviews will be presented at 5:15 p.m. and 6:15 p.m. Representatives from WisDOT and Ourston Roundabout Engineering, Inc. will be available to discuss the proposed project. The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.
