WIS 29 lane closures in Marathon County scheduled next week, Oct. 12 - 15

Crews are planning lane closures on WIS 29 - between I-39 and Marathon County X - near Rothschild, beginning Monday, Oct. 12, 2009.

• Motorists can expect to encounter lane closures and possible delays on eastbound WIS 29 between the hours of 7 a.m. and 3 p.m.
• Motorists on westbound WIS 29 can expect to encounter lane closures and possible delays between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

The lane closures are necessary so crews can complete maintenance work on the Wisconsin River and Business 51 bridges. Work is scheduled for completion by the end of the day Thursday, Oct. 15, 2009.

Motorists should also be alert for slow moving vehicles, heavy construction equipment and turning trucks within the work zone. To avoid any potential delays, motorists may want to use alternate routes.

The work requires favorable weather conditions and is subject to change.
