Traffic alert: Traffic switch and bridge closures on WIS 100 in Milwaukee County Oct. 13 until Spring 2010

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation is announcing that a traffic switch will occur on WIS 100 (Mayfair Road) from Watertown Plank Road to Walnut Road in Milwaukee County. The switch will move two-way traffic from the southbound bridge to the northbound bridge from Oct. 13, 2009 until spring 2010.

The southbound bridge will be closed to traffic; however, one northbound and two southbound lanes will be provided on the northbound bridge.

Work is occurring as part of the Mayfair Road bridge rehabilitation project that began construction in late July 2009 and will be completed in June 2010.

As with all construction work, please slow down and drive safely.  Remember that fines double in work zones.
