Temporary lane closures week of Oct. 19 on WIS 44 in Oshkosh, Winnebago County

October 16, 2009

Ramp improvements at US 41/WIS 44 interchange will cause minor delays

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing that the northbound and southbound right lanes of WIS 44 between the US 41 northbound and southbound ramp terminals will tentatively close for repairs for one week beginning Monday, Oct. 19. Additionally, overnight repairs to both the US 41 southbound and northbound off-ramps to WIS 44 will limit northbound and southbound access to WIS 44 for two days from 6 p.m. – 6 a.m., tentatively starting Wednesday, Oct. 21. Message signs will go up ahead of construction with more detailed information regarding overnight closures.

The repairs are part of a $314,000 project to construct additional left turn lanes on the US 41 northbound and southbound off-ramps to WIS 44 in Oshkosh.

Motorists are reminded to use caution and remain alert when driving through this or any work zone.
