I-90 eastbound lane closures postponed until next week
October 21, 2009
Weather causes delay in project
A bridge maintenance project on I-90 eastbound between WIS 35 and US 53 NB/WIS 157 has been postponed until next week. The project was initially scheduled to start today but poor weather conditions required delay of the project.
The project is now scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. Monday (10/26) and last until approximately 3 p.m. Thursday (10/29). It will reduce traffic to one lane eastbound. The eastbound closure may also affect traffic using the ramp from northbound WIS 35 to eastbound I-90.
Westbound lanes will not be affected.
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation anticipates the work will result in some traffic congestion through the work zone, especially during morning and afternoon commutes.
When approaching and driving through work zones, remember to slow down, allow extra space between vehicles, and give workers a “brake.”
