Westbound I-94, east of Madison, down to one lane next week Nov. 2 - 5
October 29, 2009
All lanes will be open during morning commute times
A repaving project will reduce traffic to one lane in the westbound lanes of I-94 for a four-mile stretch between WIS 73 and WIS 89 starting at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 2. In an effort to get the project done before winter weather sets in, the paving project, which has been generally done during overnight hours, will have expanded work hours of 11 a.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning. All lanes will be open between 5 a.m. and 11 a.m. to accommodate morning commutes.
The daytime work is expected to wrap up in the westbound lanes by 5 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5.
Motorists should slow down, use caution, stay alert, and follow directions provided by signs and arrow boards. Motorists also should be alert for slow moving vehicles, heavy construction equipment and turning trucks within the work zone. To avoid any potential delays motorists may want to use alternate routes.
