Work scheduled for WIS 23 overpasses in Sheboygan County

Work set to begin Tuesday, May 28

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing work beginning on bridge overpasses at WIS 23 and Woodland Road and Rangeline Road near the village of Kohler in Sheboygan County. Work is set to begin Tuesday, May 28 and be completed by August 2013.

The contractor is C & L Contracting, Inc. of Gillett, Wisconsin.

The project includes cleaning and repainting of the structural steel with cost estimated at $333,000. This maintenance work is expected to prolong the life of the bridges.

WIS 23 may be reduced to one lane in each direction, except during peak traffic times, holidays and Road America special events. Woodland Road and Rangeline Road will be closed during the project, but not concurrently.
