Inspections scheduled for Sturgeon Bay bridges in Door County

Work set to begin July 8

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing inspections have been scheduled for three bridges in Sturgeon Bay, Door County. While vehicle traffic will be affected, navigation will not be impacted.

  • Maple Street Bridge – closed to vehicle traffic and pedestrians Monday, July 8 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Michigan Street Bridge – closed to vehicle traffic and pedestrians Tuesday, July 9 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
  • Bayview Bridge (WIS 42/57) – the southbound lane will be closed Wednesday, July 10, but the bridge will remain open with traffic controlled by flagging operations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.  (The bridge remains closed to pedestrians.)

The bridges are being cleaned and inspected.
