Governor Walker approves $1.25 million project at Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport

Governor Scott Walker today announced a $1,250,000 project to expand the terminal building at the Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport in Rock County.

Wendy Hottenstein, airport program manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the project will expand the east side of the airport terminal to allow for future restaurant and other building renovations.

The project is scheduled to begin in July and be completed by spring 2014.

Funding Breakdown

✈State = $1,000,000
✈Rock County = $250,000

Southern Wisconsin Regional Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan (SASP). It supports all general aviation aircraft that include daily operations of all types of business jets.
