Governor Walker announces more than $1 million for project at Austin Straubel Airport

Governor Scott Walker approved a $1,050,638 planning and design project that includes an international arrivals terminal building at Austin Straubel International Airport in Green Bay.
Matt Malicki, airport development engineer with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the arrivals terminal will provide a permanent facility for security personnel to clear passengers from international destinations. A wildlife hazard mitigation study and updates to the airport’s master plan are also included in the project.

All projects are scheduled to be completed by August 2015.
Austin Straubel International Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan (SASP). It is a commercial service airport that supports regularly scheduled year-round commercial airline service, and supports general aviation activity to domestic and international destinations.
