WIS 21 bridge replacement in Adams County

July 11, 2013

Work to replace the Carter Creek bridge on WIS 21, in the town of Preston, began July 8.

Radtke Contractors, Inc. is the prime contractor for the $631,000 project.

WIS 21 will remain open to traffic during construction using temporary traffic signals at the bridge. Motorists can also expect to encounter some delays, flagging operations, and 11 foot width restrictions. The 11th Avenue intersection with WIS 21 will be closed throughout construction.

Work is currently scheduled for completion by mid-October 2013.

The project will be paid for with 80 percent of federal transportation funds and the remaining twenty percent will be paid for with state transportation funds.
