I-39 temporary lane closures scheduled to begin Wednesday in Portage County

July 15, 2013

Single lane closure necessary for pavement markings

Crews are planning temporary, single lane closures on I-39 between the maintenance cross over, south of the CN overpass, to just south of the WIS 54 overpass on Wednesday, July 17, and Thursday, July 18.

The temporary closures are necessary for crews to install pavement markings on both edge lines and the centerline skips. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.

The pavement markings will be applied using a moving convoy including, a moving arrow board, crash attenuator and traffic cones placed on the wet pavement markings. Motorists are reminded to drive with caution through the work zone.
