Public information meeting for WIS 60 bridge, Prairie Du Sac
July 29, 2013
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) will hold a public information meeting to discuss the design for the rehabilitation of the WIS 60 bridge and approaches over the Wisconsin River near Prairie Du Sac in Sauk and Columbia County. The meeting is scheduled on Wednesday, August 14 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Prairie Du Sac’s Village Hall, 335 Galena Street. WisDOT representatives will be available on an individual basis to discuss the project.
The proposed project will replace the deck on the WIS 60 bridge over the Wisconsin River, replace the approaches to the bridge, and repaint the steel girders.
Construction is currently scheduled for 2014. WIS 60 will be closed to traffic during the construction, which is expected to occur from May to November of 2014. A detour route will follow WIS 188, US 12 and WIS 78. A right turn lane will be added to the WIS 188 and US 12 intersection to accommodate detour traffic.
The public is encouraged to attend the meeting, provide input and ask questions concerning this project.
