Work scheduled for WIS 23 overpasses at WIS 57 in Sheboygan County

August 9, 2013

Work set to begin Friday, August 16

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing work beginning on the WIS 23 bridge overpasses at WIS 57 near the city of Plymouth in Sheboygan County. Work is set to begin Friday, August 16 and be completed in October 2013.

The contractor is EURO Paint LLC of Lowellville, Ohio.

The project includes cleaning and repainting of the structural steel. Cost is estimated at $443,000. This maintenance work is expected to prolong the life of the bridges.

All four lanes of WIS 23 will remain open as part of this project. WIS 57, however, may be reduced to one lane in each direction, except during holidays.

Please note this project is being constructed concurrently with the ongoing WIS 57 resurfacing project already in progress from the south county line to WIS 32. That project is expected to be completed in October 2013 as well.
