Meeting scheduled for US 141 improvements

Work set to begin in 2014
The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) Northeast Region in Green Bay is announcing a public meeting for the construction of 17.5 miles of US 141 from Beaver to Wausaukee. The meeting will be held Wednesday, September 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Crivitz Village Hall, 800 Henriette Avenue, Crivitz, WI 54114. A short presentation will be made at 6:10 p.m.
The project is planned to be built in two stages.
- The first stage from Middle Inlet to Wausaukee will be built during the summer of 2014.
- The second stage from Beaver to Middle Inlet will be built during the summer of 2015.
The work includes mill and overlay of existing asphalt pavement, addition of four passing lanes, intersection improvements, extension of the existing 4-lane facility in Crivitz 2,500 feet to the south, and reconstructing the structures at Left Foot Creek and Smith Creek. WisDOT staff will be available to discuss the project, answer questions, address concerns and obtain public input.
