Governor Walker announces more than $182,000 for project at Eagle River Union Airport

Governor Scott Walker approved a $182,205 project to purchase snow removal equipment and attachments for the Eagle River Union Airport.
Matt Malicki, airport project manager with the Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT), said the equipment includes a wheel loader with bucket, snow blower and sweeper. The equipment will lead to more effective and efficient snow removal operations at the airport.

The equipment is scheduled to be delivered by November, just in time for Wisconsin’s winter weather season.
Eagle River Union Airport is one of 98 facilities included in the Wisconsin State Airport System Plan (SASP). The airport is classified as a medium general aviation airport. It supports most single and multi-engine general aviation aircraft, including aircraft commonly used by businesses. The Eagle River Union Airport Commission includes the city of Eagle River, town of Lincoln and town of Washington.
