Railroad crossing improvements will close, detour WIS 66 in Stevens Point beginning next week

Crews from Wisconsin Central Ltd plan to close WIS 66, west of Portage County HH (Stevens Point), beginning Monday, October 28 at 7 a.m.
During the closure traffic will be detoured via County HH, County E and County C. Motorists are advised to plan ahead and take a different route or allow extra time for travel.
The closure is necessary for crews to reconstruct the WIS 66 railroad crossing.
Work is scheduled for completion by Friday, November 1, at 5 p.m. The schedule is subject to change based on weather conditions and construction status.
