WisDOT conducting public involvement meeting to discuss WIS 22 improvements in Clintonville

November 1, 2013

The Wisconsin Department of Transportation (WisDOT) is conducting a public involvement meeting to discuss the proposed reconstruction of WIS 22 between 10th Street and WIS 156/Green Tree Road in the city of Clintonville.

The meeting is scheduled Thursday, November 14, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Clintonville Community Center, 30 South Main Street, Clintonville, WI 54929. A brief presentation is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m. Citizens who are deaf or hard of hearing and require an interpreter may request one by contacting Kristin McHugh at least three working days prior to the meeting.

The pavement on WIS 22 is deteriorating and requires replacement. The Pigeon River bridge is nearing the end of its useful life and needs to be replaced with a structure that meets current design and safety standards. The proposed project will reconstruct the roadway and replace the bridge. To improve the safety and operations of the roadway, WisDOT is planning to modify the intersection of WIS 22 and 12th Street and the intersection of WIS 22 and WIS 156/Green Tree Road.

Information regarding real estate, and proposed access modifications will be available. WisDOT will also provide information regarding the proposed detours during construction.

Construction on the Pigeon River bridge and on WIS 22 between 10th Street and 13th Street is currently scheduled for 2015.

The section of WIS 22 between 13th Street and WIS 156/Green Tree Road is currently scheduled for construction in 2017, but may occur as early as 2016.
