Seminole Highway bridge open to traffic
November 15, 2013
The Seminole Highway bridge is open to motorists, pedestrians and bicyclists. The $1.73 million project lengthened the bridge to accommodate future ramp lanes to and from the Beltline/Verona Road interchange, and raised the bridge in order to address the clearance issue.
During construction, the Seminole Highway bridge was closed to all traffic, including pedestrians and bicyclists, for three months.
The project was completed on schedule and on budget. Some final work will occur over the next two weeks and in the spring, not impacting traffic.
